America’s Power Applauds Confirmation of Federal Energy Regulatory Commissioner

Washington — Earlier today, the United States Senate confirmed James Danly to join the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). America’s Power issued the following statement by Michelle Bloodworth, President and CEO:

“We congratulate James Danly on his confirmation to serve as the newest FERC Commissioner,” said Bloodworth. “We expect that Commissioner Danly will work with his fellow commissioners to ensure the electricity grid is both resilient and reliable. For some time now, we have been urging FERC take action on its two-year-old resilience docket and provide the leadership that is necessary to assure that wholesale markets properly value resilience and fuel security attributes, especially those provided by the coal fleet,” continued Bloodworth.
