Panel upholds Turk plant permit

According to the Texarkana Gazette, “The air quality permit for the $1.6 billion coal-fired electric power plant in Hempstead County was upheld by a state regulatory commission Friday. The Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission affirmed the air permit on Friday for the John W. Turk Jr. Power Plant under construction” by AEP-SWEPCO.
