Stimulus Grants Funding Louisiana Carbon Capture Projects

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports, “Several Louisiana projects dealing with industrial carbon capture and storage have received $3.1 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grants from the U.S. Department of Energy. Leucadia Energy LLC, in partnership with Denbury Onshore, received $540,000 to demonstrate advanced technologies that capture and sequester more than 4 million tons of carbon dioxide."
