Arch Coal CEO Discusses Coal Use, CCS Technology

When asked in an interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box about increasing the use of renewable energy, Arch Coal CEO Steve Leer said, “coal is the fastest growing fuel we've had for fossil fuels in the United States at 50%, it's enormous. And the scaleability of renewables today are about 2%. We can whittle away at it, but still will be heavily reliant on coal, natural gas and oil.”
