Cox: Granholm went too far with coal plants orderAnd she made it harder for the projects to win approval by telling regulators to consider whether alternative energy sources would better serve the state. Cox, a Republican who is considering a run for governor in 2010, said those requirements were not supported by Michigan's environmental laws and that Granholm's directive violated the state constitution's separation of powers doctrine.
