Women for Hillary and Obama rally

Akron and Parma, Ohio

With our America’s Power team touring Ohio in February and March, it’s only natural that we would have a winter mascot: this snowman, built in front of a Hillary Clinton campaign event in Akron.
We attended three Hillary events over the weekend: ones in Austintown, Akron and Cleveland. We camped out behind Hillary herself so that we were in media shots beamed around the country.
On Saturday, we started the day in New Philadelphia then drove to Akron where Chelsea Clinton was speaking at a Women for Hillary event at Akron State University. We spoke with supporters as they waited in line. Like the other Hillary events, most of the people waiting knew a lot about coal and were receptive to our message.
Some of us drove to New Parma, where Obama was having a rally. Our crew handed out t-shirts and hats to the crowd, which numbered more than 1,000.
